Are you and time friends?
What about you and money?
Do you consider self love a peer?
Would you say that you and joy are buddies?
What about ease? Are you friends with her?
This morning, lemme take it back to the sandbox for y’all.
‘Cuz here’s the thing: if we want these folks to play nice with us, we’ve got to play nice with them, first.
I have an extra five minutes randomly in between calls? Cool, I’m shooting off a super quick email to XYZ person that’s on my to-do list.
Found a dime and a penny on the ground at the car wash? Aw, yeah! Picking it up and putting it in my wallet.
A random patron at McDonald’s grabbed me and William’s order while we were in the PlayPlace so I wouldn’t have to attempt to get him out or leave him? Well how kind, thank you!
I found a close parking spot at the grocery store on a super hot or super cold day (ok, who am I kidding…anyday?) Yay, what a treat!
More often than not (and truly, I hate to call y’all out on this but…) you’re simply not being a friend.
You’re not giving them the respect they deserve. And yet you’re wondering why in the world they don’t respect you.
Hmmm, interesting.
If you’ve been around these parts for long enough, you know I love a good perspective shift, so I sincerely hope you realize that the entire world and all of it’s being wants to do the damn thing with you.
You just gotta be open enough and play friendly with her.
Alright y’all, that’s all I’ve got for today.
