Okay, it’s December 9th and I don’t know about y’all but I am already tore up from the floor up.
Like, for real.
Between coming off the Thanksgiving holiday weekend (we hosted!), to two Christmas parties last week and all of the other “stuff” that is happening like holiday shopping, getting the Christmas cards designed and ordered, volunteering at our church, decorating the tree, pictures with Santa, etc. etc. I pretty much need a break. And stat.
So I wanted to take a moment and remind you (and myself!) of something super valuable and true:
Rest is not a dirty word and doing less is not less than.
Take a deep breath. And maybe a nap.
Then remove something (or several somethings) from your calendar.
Seriously, just channel your inner Elsa and let it go.
Because y’all, this season is a special one.
Full of joy, hope and love as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, who came to redeem us all.
And since our life is not a dress rehearsal, we’re meant to thrive, not just survive, while we’re here.
Which, you guessed it, sometimes requires resting and yes, doing less.
P.S. I’m on a mission to be featured on 25 podcasts in 2025 and because I know how in the loop and connected y’all are, I’d love for you to drop me a line about a podcast you’d like to hear me on. Bonus points if you have a platform and can have me on as a guest, yourself. 😉
