As a multifaceted woman who wears many hats and honors many titles (gah, can y’all relate?!), the one I’m most proud of is encourager.

Meet Courtney

This morning I wanted to give us a little math lesson. Fun, right?

Hear me out though, because no, it’s not the kind you think. I never did like math class, anyways. 😉

Basically, I want to show you an equation, a universal law of sorts, and then explain to you how pretty much everybody is effing it up.

In other words, y’all are out there making the math not math. And surprise surprise, some self sabotage is going down and y’all don’t even know it.

Ok, so here goes…

Humans think their environments cause and inform their beliefs. This is a fallacy and they are wrong.

It’s not true.

Your mind however, will try and trick you that it is true. And your mind will do a really good job at this, so you have to be aware and available to call it out on its bullshit.

Because, no.

Your thoughts and beliefs and feelings and emotions are what guide, direct, inform and CAUSE your environment.

It’s literally 1+1 = 2. Nothing more, nothing less.

It’s known as the universal law of cause and effect.

If you can grasp this and retrain and control your mind, you can legit have whatever you desire because creating anything, having anything and being anything starts with our thoughts. Seriously.

Action is part of the equation, oh yes. Y’all know that! And so do I. 🙂

But, it’s actually the very last leg on the tour. The very last stop, if you will. And action alone won’t get the job done, because it’s part of a larger, necessary framework.

Just like a single 1 doesn’t equal 2. It takes two of ’em to tango and 1+1 is what equals 2.

So know this, trust this and believe this, because it’s true: the very first step of creation of any kind is thought and belief.
